After purchasing a 2023 E450 Mercedes on 12/17/2025. I wanted to cancel the Mazda Protection Products and other service contracts because I wanted them to be with Mercedes. The Finance Director Rodney Maharrey was hard to get a hold of for after purchase service. Speaking to a live person at the Palm Beach dealership was impossible. Even the agents at the customer service center couldn't get a hold of anyone in Palm Beach. I emailed and texted Rodney and he informed me on January 5th he would pull the documents and cancel them. I followed up with an email on the status with no response. Instead of wasting my time with these incompetent agents on the phone and the Palm Beach Dealership that is non-responsive I filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. What this dealership and finance department is doing isn't right. I have every right to cancel those service contracts within a month of purchase. I DO NOT RECOMMEND purchasing from the Palm Beach dealership. YES I made the mistake of purchasing a Mercedes from Mazda. The poor and pathetic customer service from Mazda just displays that Mercedes is superior in all ways. That is why I don't want any service contracts from Mazda. Beware of the Finance Director Rodney Maharrey.

FINAL UPDATE: I am changing my rating from 1 star to 5 stars due to the exceptional leadership of the General Manager, David Oshry. After a very difficult start—which included verbal harassment from a former staff member and significant pricing discrepancies—David reached out to me personally to rectify the situation. He took immediate, decisive action, including terminating the employee involved and addressing and explaining the fee structures I had encountered and some which he made known to me on the phone, were optional and could be removed. To truly "make it right," David and the dealership sent representatives, Haywood and Donovan, all the way to my home in Melbourne to finalize the transaction we agreed to. They were extremely professional and efficient, making the final steps of this process a pleasure. The Bottom Line: While the initial experience was a disaster, David Oshry proved to be a man of integrity. He didn't just apologize; he went above and beyond to fix the dealership's culture and ensure a fair, transparent deal. If you want a professional experience, I highly recommend dealing directly with David’s management team. (Note: I am leaving my original comments below to highlight the contrast and the effort David went to in order to resolve this.) ORIGINAL REVIEW (For Context): Title: Verbal Harassment & $9,000 in Stealth Fees I am a cash buyer from Melbourne who was prepared to buy a Certified Pre-Owned 2023 CX-5 today. My experience with this dealership was shocking. First, after requesting an itemized Out-the-Door quote, I was called six times by a salesman, Shakiel Givens, who yelled and used profanity toward me over the phone. Second, when I finally received the written quotes, the price jumped from an advertised $24,850 to a total of $33,956. They attempted to pack the deal with a $2,895 'Platinum Package' and a $2,000 'Reconditioning Fee' on a vehicle they are advertising as Certified Pre-Owned. I have reported the harassment and these deceptive pricing practices to Mazda North American Operations. If you are looking for transparency and professional treatment, avoid this store and look elsewhere.

I originally went into Mazda just to get my current
I originally went into Mazda just to get my current vehicle serviced and wasn’t expecting anything more. But I received a call from the sales team saying they were confident they could offer me a great deal—possibly even paying more for my CX-9 than it was worth. I told them I’d only consider it if they could get me into a newer CX-9 for the same monthly payment. Honestly, I didn’t think it was possible. What really stood out to me was Ben’s honesty and straightforward approach. I truly appreciated how upfront he was throughout the process. When the initial pricing didn’t meet my expectations, both Ben and Dave went above and beyond to make it work. In the end, they got me into a newer CX-9, kept my monthly payment the same, and included GAP insurance. To top it all off, they even helped me find better car insurance, saving me about $50 a month! This experience truly felt like I was being taken care of by family. I’m incredibly happy to be a part of the Mazda family now.

He took the time to listen to my concerns and ensured that all my questions were answered clearly. His knowledge and expertise were evident, and they kept me updated on the progress of my vehicle throughout the service. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! In November of 2024, went to service at Mazda of Palm Beach for check engine light regarding "Brake Failure". Aside from the light, my Mazda 3 operated completely normal, stopped normal, with no issues. Service Dept and Tech told me I needed a complete break job, and it would cost $1600.00. When I said no way, they told me it was "metal on metal", a safety issue, and I shouldn't even drive the car. They charged me $250 for the diagnostic fee and I took the car home. Next day I pulled the wheels off, and what do you know, pads and rotors were fine with plenty of life left. I called, complained, sent them images of my good brakes, and they apologized, agreed, and said they would refund my diagnostic fee. It never happened, I ended up filing a claim with my credit card company and they did get my money back, what a pain in the butt. So what every happened with my brake light? I went on Youtube, found out it was a minor electrical issue, and fixed it myself in 2 minutes for 50 cents! I will not return, and do not recommend Mazda of Palm Beach!

It all started with confusion, and sadness of the unexpected “unknown”, and ended with restoration in humanity, and believing that only good comes from challenging moments!…I called, and spoke to Farnage, she showed such kindness, and understanding when she heard my fear of, and sent me to an ANGEL, Samantha, whom made haste to get the issue sorted by connecting me with my HERO, Tom…Samantha stayed in touch until the situation was settled, even if she was very busy, her empathy was felt throughout, and SO appreciated!!…Tom sent Val, a very kind technician to my home since my car wouldn’t start, he arrived with a smile, and lifted the bonnet, attached the cables, and my CX5 started!…we left straight away to Mazda at Palm Beach, I was behind Val, my brother was behind me, and we arrived quickly, and safely…as soon as I pulled up, Tom was ready to open the bonnet, and get started straight away, no delay, the sense of urgency, heaven sent!…it was finished SO quickly, he even went BEYOND that to show me how jumping cables worked, it detail, and with a smile, to feel safe in someone’s care, that’s an understatement when it came to how Tom made me feel, truly!…Jorge, a sweet guy sorted my paperwork, and had me out feeling even more grateful…if it wasn’t for what took place with my car not starting, out of nowhere, I never would have encountered true HUMANITY, a DYNAMIC team effort!…🙏🏻🙏🏻😁😁🙏🏻🙏🏻

I would not recommend Mazda of Palm Beach based on my experience. I sold my vehicle to the dealership and was told I would receive payment within 7–10 days. Weeks later, I was still waiting for my check and repeatedly had to follow up for updates. I was continually told the title delay was “out of their control,” but that should have been communicated upfront instead of making promises that couldn’t be kept. What is especially frustrating is that the dealership completed service on a vehicle they technically did not yet own while I was still waiting to be paid. That is not my responsibility as the seller. The lack of communication, accountability, and follow-through made this an incredibly stressful experience. If you are considering selling your vehicle here, make sure you get everything in writing and be prepared for delays if any title issue arises.
